SONY Have Gone And Done it Again 3.60 is live
Sony has today released a new firmware update version 3.6 to their PlayStation consoles that brings with it the ability to save game data to a cloud storage service. The new cloud storage that is connected to the the users PlayStation Network account, allows gamers to store up to 150MB of game data or a 1,000 data files.
The new service will work with most current PS3 games and will be supported by all new games released in the future. Once your data is uploaded you can then download it when required on any PS3, once you have logged in to your PSN account, allowing you to continue games in other locations and on other PS3 consoles.
There are a few restrictions to be aware of which Sony has put in place. Unfortunately, you will only be able to download the same file once within any 24hrs, but you can download as a many individual files as you like.
The new cloud storage service is available for free to anyone who is already a PlayStation Plus subscriber and costs nothing extra to use. If you don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription they are available to purchase for $49.99 per year.
No doubt there will also be other nasty surprises inside it more AP spyware and junk to help sony spy on us even more,im sure they will install a feature that lets them know when the controller is idle so they can know when you've gone to the bathroom:rolleyes:
As always if you're running custom firmware for whatever reason i advise you DO NOT UPDATE if you wish to continue using it.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section
