    GT5 problems!

Hi all, I am very new to the PS3 hacking community and therefoore can be considered a total noob......soorry.
I've had a good look around but I can't seem to find any help with getting my backup of GT5 to run on my newly jailbroken PS3. I used an easy to follow tutorial that basically asks me to install OFW 3.55, then CFW 3.55 KEAUW then some loaders. My other backujps play fine, albeit a little bit confusing at first, but I cannot get GT5 to run, I have put it onto the internal drive as I recently upgraded to a WD Scorpio Blue 500Gb. My other games on the internal run fine, just having probs with this one.

    Can anybody help me please!!!

thats strange I have GT5 installed on my internal drive and it works fine. Try deleting it off your internal drive and delete game install data (not your save game) and re-installing it from Bluray disc.

*I always play the games first with original bluray disc to install game data and updates then i rip them to my internal or external drive with multiman

Thanks, I will try that then. Like I say I am new to the PS3 hack scene and have one more question if you've got time. I am using multiman (have also got gaia and rouge something installed), multiman is the only one that recognises ALL of my games for some reason, but I find it a little confusing on how to START the games from multiman. Got them going but kinda by luck more than anything.
To check the 'rip' of AC Brotherhood, I put in saints row original (because you need a disc in for the games to play in my understanding). It works but was confusing navigating the path to get it going.....woorks fine just getting the games started is 'clunky', have you any advice please.
Once again sorry for the noob questions, and appreciate your time.

    Thanks

starting games is easy just scroll down to the game you want (within multiman) to play and press x (then it might ask you if you want to direct launch say NO) then itll take you to back to the sony menu your game will appear in the dic channel, click it and itll launch...

you might have to press while in multiman and while your game is highlighted R3 or something to check paths, in multiman there is about 5 or 6 different views most of then have the controls listed either at the bottom of the screen or on the right side of screen.

**if you want to you can edit the multiman config file on your pc then put it on the root of a usb drive and load up multiman and insert the usb drive and multiman will automatically see it and use its settings, i did this to remove the direct launch option so when i choose a game and press x it takes me straight back to the xmb menu, the config file should be in the zip or rar file when you downloaded multiman open it up with notepad and edit it

Got it going now, thanks for the help. Whilst updating my drives I moved my files between internal to external etc, ended up having to 'split' the GT.VOL file. Solved the problem by FTP transfer.
Also I made the mistake of trying to use a modified eboot.bin.......not necessary on kmeaw 3.55 as far as I understand.

2 more questions if you have time please
    1. What are the risks of 'online play' using backups (I have only got GT5 and BLACK OPS at the moment), can SONY 'block me' or give me ylod.
    2. Is there a PS2 emulator available for the PS3 yet? I really wanna put my favourite game 'SSX Tricky' onto my PS3 so I can pack my PS2 away!! LOL
I have a PS3 that is NOT backwards compatible.

Ahh S**t sorry for the double post

    1. you cant play online anymore with 3.55 CFW im fairly certain, there were ways to do it but sony has shut them down, if you want to play online you need the 3.56 sony spyware system update

    2. i dont think there is a ps2 emulator yet for ps3

Several people have reported still playing on PSN and not banned. Even some that got the email from Sony. But yeah, no sure fire way to not get banned, except do away with CFW and do the OFW 3.56 update.

However, if i update to OFW 3.56, will my backups still work and can i still use the FTP?
