Works like a charm here. Now I'm wondering if the 40GB and newer models ever get PS2-support. I hope they do.
I don't play online on my PS3, anyway, so I'm staying at this one.

    UPDATE:
Out of curiosity, I've tried to load Final Fantasy XIII using a Samsung 64GB SSD (250MB read speed), and those loading times were significantly improved. I think it took half the time it does from the original blu-ray disc.

Make sure you run the Lv2 patcher after every start up. also make sure you are running the correct version of the Lv2 patcher that will work with your homebrew. I had to use Lv2 patcher v5 in order to get mine to work. last time i checked there was 6 versions of the Lv2. One more thing make sure to restart you PS3 if you installed a new Lv2.

    I hope this helps.....

    incorrect........

multiman and Gaia manager dont require lv2 patcher anymore they have syscall36 built-in so no need for lv2 patcher

This doesn't make any sense. You can't downgrade your firmware, if that's what you wanna hear.

you need to install 3.55 ofw over your 3.41 then install the 3.55 cfw in service mode

cfw is definately the way to go, and with multiman or gaia manager 99% of games work also new versions of multiman and gaia manager are released often that improves compatability with games
