Weird...A port of a port. I wonder why they didn't port the original PC Genesis Plus to the PS3 instead of using EkeEke's Wii port?

probably because pc's have different sets of libs to build wheras games consoles tend to have smaller and more similar libs because there will be only a single subsystem per facility (sound, video, network, usb, input) rather than 12 different libraries

Say what? I think you are way off base.

Edit: I figured out why. I was on Genesis Plus GX's Google Code site for other reasons and read up a bit. Apparently EkeEke improved a lot of Charles MacDonald's original code. To quote EkeEke:

"This port was initially based on Genesis Plus 1.2 source code but the original core has been slightly
modified, improving emulator accuracy & compatibility, as well as implementing new features and
adding support for most peripherals & special cartridge hardware.

The result is that Genesis Plus now is extremely close to the real hardware, can run the entire Sega
Genesis / Mega Drive game library and has nothing to envy to your most popular emulator on PC
    platform."

It's also in genplus.pdf file that came with the emulator but it's been a while since I've last checked it out.
