So does that mean you can play Netflix or even Games Online??Quote:

This is a good tut. But, don't you have to be on OFW 3.55 before you install the CFW? I don't think installing this from FW3.41 would be a good idea. Just a suggestion to add to your tut.
You can't use anything which uses the PlayStation Network service, so this includes Netflix and games. There is a way to log-in, but you can get banned perma-banned when using that method. Don't think it's wise to add those steps to the guide.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I installed it from FW3.51. It doesn't matter, as the firmware gets completely overwritten by the custom one. If you update to FW3.55, you'll have to install the CFW via the Recovery Menu.
I updated from 3.41 to 3.55 then used Kmeaw's CFW and installed right from the XMB. But I admit that when I did it I didn't know a whole lot. But it worked. Probably safer from Recovery.Quote:

Well that sucks.... is that beasue of the checks it uses... kinda like if you dont mod the XBOX correclty you get flaggeg... are they working on a way around that or ???Quote:

I don't know if they're looking for a work-around, but I do know that it's gonna be a tough job. Sony does much more against homebrew than Nintendo. Updating to 3.56 from a custom firmware can brick your PS3 (always install the official 3.55 first before updating to 3.56!!). With firmware 3.56, Sony can now remotely control your PS3 once you logged in to the servers.
Re-writing guide now. Will probably get updated somewhere this evening (for me).
