Can i use the "Part 1 Wat Installer" to a 4.1E console or it will brick my wii?
If you are not on 4.3, do this- Guide: Softmod ANY wii
Introduce Yourself first...
Yes you need a game.
about indiana pwns, do i have to play the first stage of original adventures or just start a new game?
and when i copy indiana jones from the sd card to wii memory, do i have to delete the saved game file i played?
Nice guide and great feedback on the forum. I'm following the guide on a virgin 4.3u (black) that I got for xmas. I'm not entirely new to modding (past xbox) and am pretty technically savvy. I used the indiana PWNS hack successfully and installed HBC, bootmii, and created a backup of NAND.
I'm having trouble with Chapter 2. I formatted the SD card (2gb sandisk) with the suggested tool (twice), copied the content from ModPack-AnyWii onto the SD (checksum is fine). Fired up the Wii and put in the SD card. Started HBC (2 new icons showing - one of which says it is the MMM/Bootmii) and pressed the Home button. Press 'Launch bootmii' and the input signal from the Wii is lost (no signal comes from TV). Tried this several times.
Next I tried the "Help Multi-Mod Manager does not load-- try this alternate method" and this is worse. I copied the content of that download right on top of the ModPack-AnyWii on the SD card, overwriting as instructed. This time I launch MMM from the icon that appears in HBC instead of pressing Home > Launch Bootmii (this seems to be what the instructions say). I go through the steps and get a DSi exception and a stack dump.
I'm dead in the water. Pretty please?
** After vierifying sums did you Select "ModPack-AnyWii.md5"
