Hi, I softmodded my own Wii (version 3.3) without problems.
Last week I also did my brothers Black Wii (4.3E) but I didn't use a game like Indiana Jones or the others ...
Now that I read the instructions again, I wonder how I did it without an original game.
Homebrew Channel, USBLoader and all the games on the external hard drive work.
Is this possible that I did that or was I just lucky ?
It must have been a 4.2 Wii, or it was already modded. At this time, it isn't possible to hack a virgin 4.3 Wii without one of the 3 games.

could someone answer me a few questions please:- (im using CFG USBLoader v62 IOS 250 and a 4.3E wii)
1) When I try to add a WAD using WAD manager 1.7 it asked me to "select IOS version to use", I chose 249, but should I have chosen 250 because my loader is 250 what does this actually mean because the WAD I was installing is IOS 53 ?
2) I only ever run USBloader with an external HDD, I cant run backup disks so do I need to add extra IOS's to make games work or are they only used for back up disks?
3) If a game sticks in exactly the same place (remote seems to disengage) and you get music sticking on 1 note is it likely its a faulty ISO. I have tried to install the correct IOS as per listed advice....btw once i install a particular IOS using wad manager...will the game automatically use it or do i need to do something to usbloader to make it work?
thanks for any help and advice you can give
installed 4.2 software not realizing i had a 4.3u wii. any help??
