I have a hardmodded wii with a Firmware fo 4.3u. It is my sister's wii. I do not know what chip was used in it. It has trouble with certain games like New Super Mario Bros. I would like to get the USB HDD to work. I looked at the beginning of the guide and notice a section for hardmodded wii's and a section that is for 4.3u.
I guess since I am 4.3u I need to use SSBB or Lego Indiana jones even though the wii is hardmodded. Is this correct? Just want to make sure before I start. I see in SSBB I need to make a save. Can I use a NTSC iso to make this save. Does it ahve to be a original disc or is a backup fine?
Greetings and Happy Holidays WiiHacks community. I need a little help with system config and have been unable to find an answer searching the forum. I've followed Mauifrogs guide to update my softmodded wii (4.2u) (many kudos to Mauifrog btw, amazing package) and cannot overwrite a cIOS. I'm trying to install 249(56) and have 249(57) installed. The (56) wad installs without errors but WiiFlow still shows 249(57) after install. On the WiiFlow wiki it recommends 249(56) v20b with the new WiiFlow v2.2 and FAT32 drive. I am just curious why (56) won't overwrite (57)... Is it because the (57) rev is maxed out? Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to get to the bottom of this!
(Thanks in advance for those who decide to help, this is my first post and I hope I'm not bashed for it.)
I am trying to mod my friend's brand new, virgin red wii (4.3).
I have SSMB, I keep the sd cart out, delete the stages, exit back out, pop in the sd card with the linked hack me files on it (extracted), go back into the stage editor.... NOTHING happens... what is going on?
is the game a pal or ntsc only the ntsc game will work
Followed and hacked a black 4.3u. Right now trying some games, running smoothly.
However, I found one abnormality when installing priiloader. It showed two Warning messages about two .ini cannot replaced, but at the end it showed operation OK. This is the second Wii I've hacked with this guide, the first was 4.2u, but honestly speaking I cannot remember if I saw those warning messages.
Please let me know if those warnings are normal.
Once done I was left with the question "What to do next" and realized since the Wii boots the way it does via the SD card and the guide we both followed allows the hard drive to be used instead,I just used the files/folders from Mauifrogs guide "Chapter 3- The Final Step" since that is the guide I used to soft mod two Wii's successfully using a 8GB usb flash drive and SD card.
So far day three this is working well and no SD card incerted.
I'm also in the UK and have just bought this game. I didn't spend very long looking for it (couple of hours at most).
I got mine off of Playtrade (Play.com) for £47. in fact there is one on there right now for £54.95 (free delivery), Here,
so i'm not sure why your having so much trouble.
If you don't want to pay that much then rent it @ lovefilm or blockbuster.
