i didnt skip the NAD back up step just mst teh steps after installing the piiloader thing. ive been able to copy all of my wii games to my HDD and play them with no issues so i have no idea how or why it is working. a new questions now is a friend of mine has a HDD that is full of games and he plugged mine and his into his computer and used some WSB omethign program 3.0 to transfer his games to my HDD but when he clicks to find my HDD it says error could this be because mine is FAT32 and his is not??
This didn work for me. Firs I want to say DON'T GET WIIUNLOCK ULTRA advertised everywhere for 29.99...but you probably already know that.
I got a brand new wii and wanted to unlock it and the most advertised tool on line was Wii Unlocker Ultra---well I didn't even know this this forum existed and I bought it...right after the first step wit indiana jones--it froze--I attempted few times and then realized I was scamed.
Then I tried Sticky's guide and I was getting error when installing wads at step 2...somehow made it till the end and when I try to install homebrew browser I get an error and also if I try to load through the Config loader WFSB my wii crashes...
I am returning it to Walmart today and may be get another one that will use as a dumb guy paying paying for the games.
I wish I could do something to prevent other unexperienced people out there of paying for the scam of Wii Unlocker Ultra---these guys need to learn a lesson...any ideas?
ps do you think my errors in instalation could be from trying the ultra first?
My name is Arbaaz and I am from India.. I bought my Wii the previous year(2009).
It is a Korean Wii in which the system menu is from the US. The very first day I updated it and got my Wii semi-bricked. I could not access the system settings and had three dots with a white background. I thought that this happened only because I bought a Korean Wii. Then I managed to play the game without the settings until I got WI-FI network at home. I badly wanted to use WI-FI on Wii, so I started learning about Homebrew, System Menu, etc,. Then a month later I changed the system menu from 3.2U TO 3.2K in which I was able to access the system settings but the language turned into Korean. I could not understand anything and in panic, I updated the firmware from 3.2K To 4.2K. Then I had to re-install the Homebrew channel and other stuff. Then I changed the region to US thinking that my Wii would turn into a Wii made in US. But nothing happened as I wanted. When I turned on the Wii, it showed the "Health And Precaution" title where it asks you to press A. I tried it a million times but when I press the A button the screen goes black with a few traces of the previous screen(Health and Precaution).
I am quite confused if my Wii is fully bricked or banner bricked.
I have heard that when the Wii is fully bricked, it does not connect to the WiiMote.
I want to know if my Wii is banner bricked or fully bricked.
I don't know if I have a mod-chip installed but I was able to play the pirated games which were burnt to CD's.
Solution Required badly....
I would actually worship the person who would give me the solution....
Please! Now I am dependent on you people....
Especially mauifrog....I have been searching this forum a lot and have found that you are the only who could help me....:(
just don't be scared if the screen freezes at prilodaer bit - read about holding power & reset to get back - i shat myself at this moment as it's a present for the mrs and i thought i fecked it up!!
takes under 30 minutes with the nand backup.
Read and read more if you feel unsure. I'm great with pcs etc but have never tried anything like this before. As long as folk read properly and don't get their head up their arse they should be fine. (no offence intended to anyone!)
I've been reading for days before attempting it just to make sure as I've got no clue about ios etc. and expecting the odd error.
good luck and enjoy.
