Not sure which parts I need to install to update to the latest, or should I just re-do everything, follow the guide from start to finish?
I followed this guide, but when I try to play most games off of an external hard drive using USB Loader GX, the game will freeze and there will be a loud buzzing noise.
Most games work just fine, but lets take Monster Hunter Tri for example, the opening video will play, but when I hit New Game, the screen goes black and there a loud buzzing noise. Some games just go right to a black screen and buzz right when I open them from the game list.
Could be a drive compatibility issue. Could be the rips are bad. Could be sleep mode on the drive kicking in. Could be a bad drive. Narrow this down for us and we might be able to help. The more info you provide the better (drive model and serial, did it work with a prior mod right before updating, etc)
and you guys are the best, 2 hours later 'and a few sd card swaps for different steps' Wii is modded, ALIVE and playing my Tales of Symphonia backup that I ripped before my disc broke, I can't thank you enough <3
I'm running into the same problem. I used WAD MANAGER, installed the 30 WAD's, and the last one failed (yep I ran the checksum). I tried to run the last one again, but it failed to open. I formatted my card, unzipped the modpack, and now I WAD Manager can't see the files in the sd/wad directory, only the folders. Is there a way to confirm the WAD's were installed properly? So odd it worked the first time, but this time no go.
By "wad manager" (something that strictly-speaking, isn't included in our guide) do you mean WiiMod? What kind of SD card? You should be using a fullsized SD card (2gb) and making sure it's FULLY formatted FAT32 (not quick). No cheats like MicroSD in adapter, nor SDHC.
So I found someone with the same problem and they said to use cIos 222 and port USB1 and that worked for me.
So when you ask if I'm using the right cIos to load, I am not sure what you mean by that, as the guide makes no mention of having to do this.
Just wanted to check the correct procedure for seeing new games in Wiiflow.
So I have a USB hard drive with games on in .wbfs format, in their own folders, and Wiiflow sees them fine, been working fine for a while. I then turn the wii off, unplug the hard drive, plug it into a PC and put more games on it.
I then plug the USB hard drive back into the wii, turn it on, enter Wiiflow, but Wiiflow doesn't see the new games straight away, I think I have to go into 'renew cache' or something, but then it asks for the partition, etc.
So I am just wondering what the correct procedure is to Wiiflow to see new games.
