I placed a similar post in a different place but nobody responded.
So... i'll decided to try it here. Hope not violating any rules.
Not sure what's going on but maybe i damaged my system somehow.
I have a black 4.3U Wii.
I went through the "soft mod any Wii" with no problem all the way till the "Priiloader" part (right before installing the Priiloader).
Everything went perfect (maybe too perfect).
Had a Bootme installed as IOS
downgraded system menu to v. 4.1U.
Have a NAND backup saved on my PC.
And then a message poped up "your Wii System Memory is full. Use the data management screen to manage your save data".
But when i checked there was hardly much data saved. And even when i deleted almost all of it - nothing changed. - still the same message.
Now it would not let me do anything except in the data management area.
Is it some kind of a brick thing - never seen one before?
Is there anything i can try to do at this point.
And one other thing:
It was not as a result of an update - i was not online.
the system was at 4.3U downgraded in the process of modding to 4.1U.
i had same problem to start with but i formatted my wii dontr no if it was wise but done no damage .... then reinstalled with a few problems like usbplayer was out of date and my harddrive was no gd but it played mario changed harddrive and now works perfect ...admin will help u fix it but i say format and reinstall personly
Thanks for your suggestions.
I've been reading some other posts - some members been having problems with the formatting approach.
i do have a saved NAND Backup.
But i am not sure how to use it and either i can use it at all with no Priiloader installed.
getting desparate - still looking for some other ideas - any?
thanks in advance
If you are so desperate that you start violating site rules, you need to calm down. Don't double-post (both in terms of posting in multiple places and replying to yourself). Keep things in one thread, and if you want to add additional information to a post that hasn't been replied to in less than 24 hours, edit your last post. After 24 hours, it's fine to reply to yourself.
Do you have Wii Ware or Virtual Console games on the system that should be backed up? That is where you will be saving the most space. The individual game save data is inconsequential space.
And don't format your system. No staff will recommend you do that.
Thank you for the warning and the suggestion.
I am still not sure if it is some kind of a brick or what happend.
No updates - was off line.
Modding was proceeding without anything wrong.
And then this message about the lack of memory.
No Wii Ware or Virtual Console games on the system.
Is thetre any way to try to recover - i do have a NAND Back up but no Priiloade installed?
You have to have something installed on the system that is taking the space. With no content from Wii Shop, there should be plenty of space for everything. Check the Wii Settings -> Data Management -> Channels to see what is there.
You are so right. Deleted as many channels as i could - and this message's gone.
I just stupidly assumed that i may have bricked the system,
Never seen a bricked sys. before.
Thanks again for you help
It may be a good idea to redo Chapter 2 to make sure everything got installed. If your memory was full, you likely didn't get something installed right.

Hi all, just a very noobish question: I followed the guide on a new Wii I bought this weekend, which was on 4.3e and it's working perfectly. It was only £25 so decided to have a WiiMC box upstairs.
Anyway, reading the guide, it says in Chapter 2 "If you don't have 4.3, you need to update IOS".
I remember that my main Wii downstairs is still 4.1e, so i thought "since it's 4.1 and not 4.3, I must have skipped this step".
So I just redid the whole chapter 2 step, and I'm still on 4.1e.
So I'm confused: updating all IOS in chapter 2 does NOT update the Wii system to the latest version? If not, why is updating IOS a critical step? And is it preferable to update to v4.3e and do the mod again? Also, is it ok to load Dios Mios as part of chapter 2?
Correct. Wii Menu version is separate from what IOSs are installed.

Without that, you wouldn't be able to play the games made after 2010 that require the IOSs installed with 4.3.
So by installing IOS Update contents, you install the updated system information so you can play new games without neccessarilly updating the menu.
As for DIOS MIOS, once the Softmod Any Wii guide is installed, you can then move onto any other guide. Best to keep them separate since when installing ModPack, you do install the Mios v10 that would otherwise be installed on 4.3 systems if you do a normal Nintendo update. You will want to install DM after this step.
