Why are you arm-chair quartering a so-called professional?
I don't know what that means.
These questions can lead me to no other conclusion than a non-professional (or more importantly, someone who doesn't care to follow our guide) is involved.
Yes. That is not only possible it's probable. In addition to fixing the hardware button he might use his own mod methods & the only way for me to be sure is to tell him point blank "this is what the end result should be" & maybe acquaint him with this guide. (However, pro's get easily butt-hurt when you tell them what to do).
find the spoiler in the guide entitled, "Cios FAQ- What this mod installs.
I will do that. Thanks.
Which is exactly why we usually would like people to mod their own systems, then when someone asks for something simple like a sycheck, they know how to do that.
It's a sports term...arm chair quarterback. If you are not familiar with the term it is basically the same as a backseat driver.

If you want help here than follow the guide yourself. It is pretty easy. It is basically copying files from your computer to an SD card putting the SD card in your wii to run them. You can ask questions if you don't understand something.
Having someone else do the mod and then trying to get help here at the same time is only going to confuse and frustrate everyone involved.
Going to? I think it's a little late for that.

that if this guide takes a system from it current status to, lets say, Point B. I wanted to be sure what
that Point B was (& I even mentioned my understanding of Point B in my post #17305).
Also according to my understanding of the guide, the current status of the console didn't matter.
However, clearly it must be much more complex than what I imagined & may not be answerable
without pertinent data.
Approaching a Pro (!!) is being done out of helplessness on my part. If I could have done it myself,
I would have. My other threads would show you why I couldn't & I why I didn't.
You are not making much sense.
I know I gave you advice on another thread. Replace or fix the power button, I also linked to guides to help with that.
Used gamecube controllers are dirt cheap as well.
As as far as the point A point B stuff, if you follow the guide you will get to point B. All the files needed are linked in the guide. If someone else follows the guide the wii will be at point B. Asking someone else to do it and wanting them to get to point B involves telling them to follow this guide for you, no other question is really relevant.
Either do it yourself and ask relevant questions or have someone else do it and if they follow the guide they can ask questions. If they want to do there own method then this guide doesn't really apply.
Thanks. Guys in here are helpful. I will try to make use of all the information, sarcasm & jpg's provided! :D
I am having problem in chapter 2. none of the wads are getting installed.
Below is some information which might help you to understand:
Homebrew channel top right says
WII version is 4.2U
Using Wii Mod 3.2
After loading wii mod
current ios says : IOS:36 v3351
All checksums are verified twice :(
when i select all wads to install there was some error but i wasn't able to see that.
Then i selected one by one and all wads displays same error:
Error: (-2011) Signature check failed.
Try with AHBPROT mode or an IOS with the correct permissions.
Let me know if you need more info to help me on this.
If you still have 1.0.6, then you've not completed chapter 1 correctly. At the end of chapter 1 you should be running 1.1.0. Give that another try. You may have to change the SD card that you are using if the one you are currently using isn't working. Check the guide for our recommendations for the type of SD cards to avoid.
