1. it's wise, very wise.
2. without apps folder in SD card root ( not just the absence of SD card itself), HBC will show u bubbles only.
before u format ur current SD card, u may like to back it up on PC...(why not ?) .... as u may hv some others things, such as game covers, theme files,...etc, in there.
any 1~2GB sd card will be fine for use of SoftMod wad installs, after a proper format.
3. do the "UPDATE ur IOS....", it's no harm whether u want to be 4.1 or 4.x.
4. After this latest Softmod, re-do the Priiloader as required.
5. No harm to keep ur current HBC and the 'black" Backup HBC in ur Wii. Let the twins be there.
by the way, u can update ur HBC via online update.
Thanks a lot billy

I have 2 questions. It says "In this scenario, you should install all packs, including the IOS pack." What is IOS pack? Is that IOS update? I'm on 4.3e so should I overwrite it? I have Darkcorp installed and I would like to get rid of it.
Should I remove mothballed channels before starting this guide? I have old Neogama and USB loader channels.
Yes, you should install the Ios update pack , even though your on system menu 4.3....especially since you want to get rid of the darkcorp.

Thank you Jax! It was flawless!
Thanks Billy! One last clarification please? I realize you said to install the iosupdate whether I am upgradin or downgrading. So since it's already a 4.3u, I am to install in this order:

After installing the first 3 there, instructions say to download system menu, extract and install. So it seems to me like it should be installed separately (as in, remove the card after the iosupdate, download sys menu, install... but I could be reading too much into it). Is that the case? Or can I simply put all 4 (including the system menu) on the SD and follow prompts through to finish the IOS update... "press any button to continue," then proceed to install sys menu from the card. (or will the files mess with the first 3 installs if present on the card.)?
If you took an official update to 4.3, you can skip the IOSupdate pack.
Yeah, updated to 4.3 before I hacked it. Thanks :) So then I am still to downgrade to the 4.1 system menu as per the guide, yes?
