never mind,i use a cheap ebay remote and was able to go thru the bootmii
That does shed some new light on the subject for me. :D
If I want to go to SM 4.1 afterwards, what is the best method?
Priiloader is now in place with the suggested settings, will this be a problem?
Select "System Menu Hacks"- Press A
Enable any hacks you like. We suggest-
"Block Disk Updates", "Block Online Updates", "Remove
Diagnostic Disc Check", "Move Disc Channel"
If you don't know what the hack does - you don't need it!!!
I did the SM 4.1 downgrade and reinstalled priiloader.
All went smooth, thx.
I just finished chapter 1 of the awesome guide and Homebrew is a new channel. I used the Return of the Jodi exploit
The problem I have is that homebrew when started just shows up as a black screen. The remaining chapters require HBC to launch.
IGNORE THIS. GOT IT WORKING AND NOW MY 7 YR OLD IS PLAYING WRECK IT RALPH OFF OF USB GX LOADER. LOVE IT!
what you meant "when started" ?
have you ever seen the HBC bubbling ?
It is an icon on the main WII page and when I click on it it bubbles and has a 'Start' button. When I click on it -the screen just goes black and my wii is locked up. Hope that helps.
Simply follow that part of the instructions. You will have to reinstall Priiloader again, though.Quote:

I have discovered my problem was in fact thinking I am smarter than I am. I was simply adding the ISOs and WBFS files to the hard drive, manually adding the folders etc and expecting them to work. In order to make the games work I had to convert the drive into WBFS using WBFS manager and add the games to the drive using the same program. Now to find 750GB worth of games to make sure the drive is properly utilised :).
Thanks a lot for all the help, both in the guide and the comments. My appreciation is unlimited.
