if your wii is 4.3 im pretty sure you can skip the shop channel update. you dont really need to update it, just use it once and you're good.
you want to use it once at least because some games (call of duty black ops) require the shop channel to update the online portion of it.
from the main menu of MMM, go to WAD MANAGER.
from wad manager you should see all the wad files in sd:/wad, as well as the IOS-UPDATE and NTSC-U 4.1 folder. hit button 1 to install, A to accept, then let it do its thing.
once that is done, browse to the NTSC-U 4.1 update folder. as before, hit 1, then A to install everything.
after thats done, back out of that dir and navigate to the IOS update folder. hit 1, then a, then let it do its thing.
what size SD card are you using? is it SDHC by chance?
I believe that's exactly what I've been doing. From the system menu, I press on the Homebrew channel. I then press Start. Four things come up on this:
* ARC 1.1b mod06 Offline
* Cboot2 Multi-Mod Manager
* HomeBrew Channel Loader
* Priiloader 236 Mod
I don't press any of those. I press Home. I then press Launch Bootmii in the menu that shows up. Then, I go down to WAD Manager and press 1. Then on express install, I press A. This is where all the errors show up. I've tried this a couple of times. Now, I tried once more and it seems something has gone corrupted. After launching Bootmii, a single quick green line shows up on the TV and disappears quickly. After that, I just get a blank screen.
As for the memory, I am using an Intec 2GB SD card. To show you, it looks exactly like this one (I didn't order it from here):HTML Code:
when you go into the WAD directory, do you see any WAD files at all or nothing?
Inside the SD card? (sd:\wad\) If so, then there are 30 wad files and 3 folders.
yea. so when you click on the wad folder, before you hit 1 you actually see the wad files but then get the error, correct?
try a different SD card, 's all i can say. you could try to redownload the step 2 files, as yours MIGHT have gotten corrupted. redownload those, try a diff SD card, see if that works.
short of that IDK.
If I press the right arrow key on the Wii Remote, it shows all the wads are there. But, when I press 1 on WAD Manager, it asks for Express or Normal install. Now, when I press the right key, I see down there that there's an option where you can select wads for batch installation. Should I select all the wads I see and install them?
Edit: Also, I did reformat it again (FAT32 still) and redownloaded the files. This time, I didn't download IOS Updates.zip and skipped that file.
no, you press 1 then A to install everything.
SD or SDHC card and what size?
