exception (dsi occured!)
I was reading this post. Must admit that there is to many pages, that i didnt read it all. A have a few question:
I manage to install bootmii and homebrevware channel.
Make backup with bootmii
After that I download EUR-modpack and cios-pack-ver.6, extract both and copi it to an sd card
I also download and unpack wiimod 3.1, and here i get confused, two folders were created, from the apps folder i copied wiimod to sd:\apps\, but where do I need to put folder "src"?
When I start homebreware channel, I saw that my had IOS61 ver 22.30 installed. Now I wonder if I had the right cios package ( pack ver. 6 ). Do I need to downloag different package? What is with wad files and do I need to upgrade IOS?
I quess that you already answer on this questions and I relyy did a sercha, read many threads, but still didnt find answers to my wuestions.
It would be helpful if someone will help me with short questions, maybe with posted link to download if I need to download something else.
I stuck now at the Part 1. Wad Installs
Thanks in advance for any help.
It sounds like you are skipping around in the guide. Wiimod should only be used if your Wii remote looses sync after MMM launches in Chapter 2. Follow the instructions in post 1 exactly as written. If your remote loses sync and you need to use Wiimod, you don't need the src folder. The instructions for Wiimod would be the same as for MMM in this guide.
You should also take a look at the first link in my signature below - an introduction to Wii hacking. It may help you understand things a bit better.
Thank you for your replay.
I already install wad files trough the WAD manager, with no errors. Current IOS is IOS58 ver 1675 and when I try to install priiloader ver 7, it start normal, but sync getting lost and I can not install it. I also try priiloader 236, same problem happened, then i reinstali IOS from NUS, but same problem accured. I read posts and the one thing that I didn't try is to reinstall HBC. At first HBC was installed through letterbomb. Do you think that I should install it from hackmii_installer_v1.0?
Or do you have maybe any other suggestion?
Thanks and BR,
I've followed all the steps and the tips received and now my softmod is updated and all USB Loaders are working fine as well as their forwarders/channels. As I was updating everything I decided to update Wii Shop Channel to v20 following the optional step in this same tuto.
I don't know what is wrong but the Wii Shop Channel is not loading. It just comes back to Wii Menu. I've tried to reinstall it on MMM inside HBC but the problem persists.
How can I have this working?
Nothing will appear there if there are no apps on your sd card. Where exactly are you stuck at in the guide again? (Don't say part 2, please be more specific..lol)
Haven't I already installed iOS56 during the Softmod process?
This is where I stopped... I've done the process till the end. All loaders are working... WiiMC that I've installed following the tuto is working fine also.Quote:
Chapter 3- The Final Step
Don't forget to do this
Format your sd-card, one last time
Extract APP-PACK-V3b.zip directly to your sd card.
Boot your wii to the system menu. You will see the following channels installed:
USB Loader GX - This is a forwarder to Usb Loader GX v2.3 which is now on your SD card. Source HERE, WiiHacks Guide HERE.
CFG Loader - This is a forwarder to Configurable USB Loader v70 which is now on your SD card. Source HERE, WiiHacks Guide HERE.
WiiFlow - This is a forwarder to WiiFlow r418, a usb loader, which is now on your SD card. Source HERE, WiiHacks Guide HERE.
Neogamma - This is a forwarder to Neogamma R9 Beta 56. It is primarily used to load backups from disc, however it also supports loading from SD/USB. Source HERE, WiiHacks Guide HERE.
Backup HBC- You will see a channel with black water, labeled backup HBC. When you load it, HBC 1.03 is loaded. This is installed as a backup means to run homebrew should you ever need it. You should not use it, unless you need to. Don't uninstall this wad, title "MAUI". Keep it on your wii or save it onto your sd card. You can move it to the far far right of the channel menu or back it up to your pc. You never know, someday you may need it.
Only Wii Shop Channel isn't working. The only part of the process I have skipped was updating the menu since the first time i Softmoded I had already installed 4.1.
