Please go easy on me. Got the homebrew channel installed and got to part 2. I got stuck here :
Extract to sd:\
Overwrite files if asked
I did read the guide several times and am quite familiar with zip files so I didnt think I would have any issues. When I clicked the link it went to a file with the extension .rar . Now Im stuck. I tried to open the file and it says I cant. Did I miss something or do something I shouldnt have? Now what do I do?
extract with winrar
Hi Quick question I've softmodded using this guide, Connected HD to wii noweverytime i try to load either USBloader GX orconfigurable usb loader the lights go out on the wiimote and the wii restarts. HD has been formated to wbfs and has games on.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Wiiflow the same happens and neogamma also.
First, thanks for the guide (and the site in general), it was very helpful.
Now, I tried to install wiiflow with the guide after following the softmod guide and the wiiflow channel just doesn't seem to work properly. It may come from the fact that I'm a beginner in hacking wiis or that there's just one missing step, but before continuing, I wanted to know:
1. After doing all the softmod guide, do I need to follow the "wiiflow nand emulation" guide step by step to install wiiflow? Isn't it redundant? Because wiiflow seems to be already installed after softmoding the wii. Shouldn't I just emulate my NAND on an USB?
2. I don't understand the FINAL STEP of the guide (chapter 3): do i have to put the app pack on my SD card in a folder called "app pack 3VB" or put everything in the app pack at the root of my SD card (creating several folders and files at the root of my SD)? I tried both, and I don't see what's the point in using either one or the other. (I think this question is related to the first one but I'm not sure...)
I never did the Nand emulation guide so i can not answer the first question. As for your second question, just format the sd card and extract the files from the app pack 3vb directly to the root of the card.Quote:

I appologize for double posting but felt it was needed to help. The root of your sd card should look simular to this.Quote:

I hope this helps.
Now, here's the bug: when I'm in the Homebrew channel, there's nothing at all - no channels, nothing. If I press 1 and select the SD card, the screen turns in a ms-dos mode-like, and it's written on top "Exception (DSI) occured" with a bunch of code after. I just have to press "reset" to go back to homebrew, and everything seems fine in the system menu after... but I just don't get it! Any clues?
