i have follow your step of softmod my wii 4.1U. and everything was fine as there was no problem with all the file and link. but when i try to load the usbloader cfg with my ntfs hdd connected to the wii with game transfer by using Wii Backup Manager. it juz keep trying to mounting drive and i have try so many time. but i cant seem to get the hdd working or play any games? anyway to help me on this?
Can someone tell me what step to do next? I was playing Kirby's RtDL, and I went to 'arena' in the game and it makes a constant high buzzing sound and freezes. I googled and apparently it is due to some anti-copy protection check, so it's not my disc.
I currently am using Neogamma to load from my WBFS HDD. Would it do any good to try another method (usb loader gx or cfg usb loader)? Or perhaps change my cIOS?
I'm really confused with all this talk of cIOSes and would prefer to get some advice before I go install useless channels or change the default cIOS that was installed by following this guide.
You could use the disc to get past that part and then once it's saved beyond that point try usb loading again.
Do not reply to my comment here, if you have any other questions, make a thread.
I think this guide thread should include instructions (and DL links) to install a usb loader channel of our choice. Either CFG USB loader or USB loader GX.
SD card sucks tbqh.
Better yet, have the wad for it included in the App Pack.zip download as seen in Chapter 3 of this guide. Then for sure people would always be able to find a working download link, easily.
The guides are a perfect precursor so a user can make a choice of there own! which i was stoked about!
You don't even need a sd card if it irritates you that much, you really only need one to hack the wii (see Wiihacks guides on how to do that)
Channels are ok but if you are a forward thinker you would understand the total advantages of being able to update a brew software release more conveniently via forwader/boot.dol...
