Killzone 4 underway for PlayStation 4?
According to Edge ‘the bulk of Guerrilla's staff (is soldiering) on with the next Killzone instalment.’ Although a new Killzone title is coming to the PS Vita it’s being developed by Sony Cambridge Studio, who did the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet.
In the same issue, Guerrilla's Adrian Smith also suggests that, ‘we've got to continue the Killzone franchise’. We’re not sure exactly how many other people would agree with that, but apparently there’s no stopping it now.
There’s no clue in the article as to what format Guerrilla’s new game is on, or if it is literally Killzone 4, but Edge has also recently reported the following, which sounds like it could easily be a description of Guerrilla Games:
‘One major Sony-owned studio has now ceased PlayStation 3 development, its entire focus having shifted to the console’s successor. The studio is also said to have been involved in the development process of the graphics technology adopted by Sony’s new hardware.’Although the next generation Xbox is widely expected to be unveiled at E3 in June, likely with a Christmas 2012 release date, little is known about Sony’s plans for the PlayStation 4. However, a recent rumour from France did suggest that Sony will make an announcement next year.
