Strange Brick...or not
I´m sorry for my english, but i´m from Portugal.
I will use de google online translator :p
He had the wii version 4.1E tried to update following the softmode any wii tutorial.
The method of bannerbomb, HackMii stop the installation and just doing the reset.
I run the Pimpmywii (only in tests and no instalation) and had a freeze in ios35. I upgraded to overcome it.
I upgraded the ios 58 and 60 (q I think those were the numbers)
In modmii gave me an error (-2011 ... I think) and what I saw was in trouble IOS36.
Had Bootmii installed and it´s gone also.
Modwii ran the install and sent necessary to update the ios and cios on the wii and the usb loader too.
Result ... the channels reboot the Wii, the games are original and give a black screen.
I tried upgrading to see if something that was improperly installed and clean the system, but the problem continues.
Update. I´m trying to follow this treat....but it is for the 4.3u and mine is a 4.3e (before a 4.1e)...Can i use the same files or it has to be change something of the ios and cios or whatever it´s inside:o for the european wii????
I can not open channels, I can not run the original dvd, not do the bannerbomb ... and with the update and priloader bootmii ...... crashed.
Enter the wii and turn everything right .... just not lets start the games and channels.
I installed it with the MMM.
The channel of the HBC still instaled .... but back to the wii menu .... but it does not reboot.
I've thought of doing the Wii format, but can still lose more.
The game gets black screen, so the bannerbomb with LEGO Batman out of question.
I've seen other users with similar problems .... but never all at once.
Not many solutions here.
Cant run bannerbomb becuase of 4.3
Cant run Smash stack because no games will run
Do you have a NAND Backup?
I don´t think soo.
I will try the recovery mode and try to see if any dvd boot.
The most strange thing is that the update should clean everything...but the wii only changed the system and the problem is still the same...so...i thik that the problem it´s same channel or missing ios(but missing the update should put the missing parts again).
I´m almost trying the wii format
Formatting the wii wont do anything. All it does is delete game saves, delete mii's and wireless network settings. It does not affect homebrew and "fixing" the wii.
Your best bet is to try recovery mode and if that fails, then if your wii is old enough, you may be able to have bootmii as boot2 flashed into your wii to recover your wii.
Sounds like a brick similar to the bug found in dop-ios mod 11.3-11.4. Formatting will not fix it. Where you able to install any of the wads from modmii? Did you update to 4.3 via modmii or via Nintendo Update? If you brick is what I think it is, only an installed patched ios80 will be able to fix it. With a patched ios80 you probably can not fix this without nand programming.
You have the HBC installed, but it will not load. Do you have any other channels installed? A usbloader or something like that? If you have other hack channels, can you copy them to sd card? Can you copy them back to wii?
The last time I formatted my Wii (almost a week back), even the HBC was removed.

PS. I already order a wiikey fusion with the sd card reader and try to put all the files to a full softmode.
When you get the Wiikey, try a MMM disc patched to ios80, try the 3.2 downgrade disc. Otherwise you can't fix it, only NAND reprogramming will help.
