I don't think that nintendo will lower the price of the wii for the first year and a half. Next christmas we will probably see some game pack'in's with the unit much like microsoft is doing this year. I think price reductions typically come in the 3rd of a 5 year cycle unless the unit has failed in the market place. I think the wii has staying power as it is unique and offers different gaming experiences even with games that crossover on all platforms.
That has always been the attractive thing about Nintendo. Their console and game prices have always been lower than the competition and more often than not they include some kind of pack in game.
All (or most) new consoles include some game with it to help promote sales.
I'd rather have two controllers instead of a game because if only that bundle is available, you're forced to play it. (Not saying that Wii Sports is bad.)
