You can use wiimod or wadmanager or MMM.
As for why it's only giving you the option of v6 only ...I don't know.
My mistake, I was mixing up programs... I downloaded the right one (I didn't have wadmanager, I was looking at something else), and installed it... so far it seems to be working... thanks a lot Jax, I appreciate it
iam curious should update my v8, 249,250 with v8final 245-251 slots, or latest v10beta?
i want stability and compatiblity, i dont need some new extra stuff...iamnew to the wii hacks,
i read that each version / revision has some pros and cons, is that true?
my cios config

If I upgrade from v8 to v9 or v10-beta53-alt, USB Loader GX 1207mod1 can't access my USB HDD. The HDD spins up and down repeatedly until the countdown times out and then USB Loader GX loads and says it can't find the HDD. Switching back to d2x-v8 and it works fine again.
The installer only goes up to v6 for me. Is that normal? Having installed it, many of the high-profile wiiware titles like World of Goo, Motoheroes, La Mulana, Cave Story, etc. don't work.
Secondly, I tried downloading the individual v8 wads, but MMM won't install them. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
- Extract to your "wad" folder on the root of the SD
- Load the app you chose to install the wads and reload/Change Ios to IOS236 or 36
- Now, go to wadmanager in wiimod and then select Sd card slot.
- Now press 1 and then the "A" button to do a batch install of those wads.
P.S. Make sure those are the only wads in the wad folder on the sd card.
Your method did allow me to install, thanks. Yet... the games still don't work.
I'm installing them with usb loader gx.
Yes it is.
