Hope somebody knows whats going on with this
Yep just did, I was just about to update my post. I followed cjizzle advice he gave another user and updated USB Loader GX and seems to be working now
how can i load d2x installer?
Through the HBC. It's a HB app...
Also, download map236.xml This .xml file able you to install the cIOS236 (same as IOS236 installer or Simple IOS Patcher) with d2x cIOS Installer.
Rename it to ciosmaps.xml and place it next to the boot.dol
By doing this, the existing ciosmaps.xml is overwritten. Is this what is supposed to happen?
In the first option you come in the intaller(cIOS Selection), it will choose automatically IOS 58 (AHBPROT) for you. If you don't have it , select IOS 236 and then on the following page where you actually install d2x.
Um, mine says IOS: 58 v6176... is the version important? I'm confused.
- Download and extract to SD/USB
To where exactly??? I installed to the apps folder on my SD card.
- Load the HBC and load the d2x installer
- Select IOS36 or 236 to use during the instllation
Exactly how do you do this? I do not have any such option.- Select cIOS to install <D2X v7>
- Select base IOS i.e <56>
- Select cIOS slot i.e <249>
- Press A to install
Remeber to Do the same for IOS250 but with base 57
My menu looks like this;
Select cIOS <d2x v6>
Select cIOS base <37>
Select cIOS slot <249>
Select cIOS revision <21006>
Your screen shot looks differnt than what I am seeing on my screen. I seem to have an extra option of Select cIOS revision <XX> whereas your screen shot does not show this. Why?
Add a new cIOS installer:
Question.... is this a part of this installation instructions here (mandatory part of this process) or am I ok to just bypass this part of the guide (just an option for more advanced users)?
Ok so I decided to try the second method and manually install these wad files via MMM. I have no idea how to install the wads and reload to IOS236 or 36. I highlighted the wad files to install, told MMM to install those and they all reported back as "7 did not complete". Man, I am pretty confused now.
For all you trying this using MMM, your default IOS for MMM seems to be IOS58 v6176 (as of Jan 25th 2012). What the author of this thread is saying is you need to change from the default IOS58 v6176, to IOS236 (or 36 apparently) in order to manually install the wad IOS files.
Press the LEFT side of your D-Pad on your Wiimote and this will bring up the IOS selection screen. Just click over to 236 and you should be golden :)
I managed to get all 7 installed with no problems.
