Wii Successor Confirmed
It seems we have official confirmation from Nintendo's latest investor meeting that Nintendo is launching a new console to succeed the Wii. The confirmation can be found on Nintendo of Japan's website HERE.
The document gives some interesting info including the Wii has sold 86.01 million units since 2006 to March 2011. More importantly, it confirms that the new Wii console will be launched in 2012 (seems to be March) and they will have a playable model of the console and more specifications in the E3 Expo which will take place June 7 - June 9, 2011 at Los Angeles.
Oh jeepers... I can't wait.
I told my lady and all she said to me was "NO!" with a very annoyed look on her face lol!
I wonder when they'll start taking pre-orders. :)
I'd bet not after the revealing. Hopefully they'll have a good internal hdd and hdmi at least. Wii lacks graphics against ps3 and xbox. The simplicity of motion games with the wiimote worked once, but I doubt it will again unless they can hold their ground against the other systems.
