thanks for your answer, i dont really remember which ios i have patched... so i just do as the guide says and install priloader normaly i guess?
Edit: is priiloader really needed to play back up games online? to prevent the disc and console updates? i mean are those updates automatic or they ask for it? sorry for being so anoying but im afraid to brick my wii by installing priiloader.
I had priiloader installed before... Then I redid the softmod. Now it's gone! I didn't think I would need to re-install priiloader. I also noticed after following mauifrog's guide that the disc channel said "system update" when there was a backup disc in the drive. When there was an original disc in the drive it was normal. Later I noticed that the "system update" was gone from the disc channel, and a preview of the game on a backup disc was displayed in the disc channel. I just thought it was strange. I don't know what happened.
As far as the system update message, it depends on which game you had in at the time. Most people who make backup games will remove the update partition and never have to see that message. Maybe you did not do that either.
I read in the description that priiloader only needs hbc to run but here is my syscheck, i wanna make sure i dont mess anything

Is it ok to install priiloader with this system? thanks for the help
yes i made a thread and i got advised to do that but in the softmod any wii guide it says i need a SD card, SDHC cant be used and i only have SDHC.. so i wanted to know if i could install priiloader with the current system. So.. its not advised to install with the one i got it seems :/
Edit: since the "problem" here is the ios58 is there any way i can "unpatch" it or something so i can install priiloader?
thanks alot mate.
after i install the ios58 i have to re install HBC like it says in the link correct? or no need for that?
Edit: HBC needs to run on ios58 in order for priiloader to be installed successfully?
sorry for so many questions but i like to learn
Edit 2: i found this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...v1-x-v2-x.html i guess i just need to do part 1 and im done right? :)
Edit 3: followed that guide, installed ios58, HBC is running on ios58 now and got priiloader too!
Thanks for helping me mate
I installed priiloader again as soon as I noticed that I no longer had it. The hacks hash file from page 1 didn't work for me. I had to use one from the apps pack that is on the page with mauifrogs guide. It looks like others are also having the same problem.
I got confused about installing priiloader because it said not to install it twice. If it wouldn't hurt anything....then y not install? It's a great guide, but a bit confusing if you're re-modding the wii IMHO.
So.... If I ripped a retail wii game with cfg usb loader, and converted it to iso using (wii backup manager?) Would it remove the disc updates automaticly?
