Are newbies getting rebellious?
In the past people have usually been grateful to get help, and will follow directions. Maybe two weeks ago, I started having to put emphasis on following all the steps by writing it in bold or underlining them. That worked for about a week. After that, I started telling people to follow all directions twice, once in the instructions, and once at the end of the post. The past couple of days, I've noticed newbies saying "no" flat out.
This whole thing has started to try my patience, and I've started acting a bit harsh. I know that doesn't help, and it may even be making the situation worse. It gets harder to help people if they won't accept it. It's not about people no longer saying "thanks so much" after being helped, although I will admit it was nice. It's that I've started typing instructions and suspecting them to be ignored.
Has anyone else noticed this, or have people just been acting like this to me?
