ok was hoping there was a app like the Game loader app from wiiflow has, so icould load my GC games on my HD , i was reading some stuff on WIIgator do u know much about it ? Or it a totally diffrernt subject?
Do u think there may be an app that will allow u to load the game cube games onto a HD and be able to play then via eg Wiiflow or HB channel. ?
There is nothing short of a few specific hard mods. Believe me...Search the forum and the web and you will find nothing capable softmod wise. Just a bunch of pointless arguments about something that can't be done at this point if ever. Please don't be one of those fools that starts an argument on the subject or comes up with a million tried before or illogical workarounds that don't and will never work. Yes getting into WiiGator's work is irrelevant and getting way out of the focus of this guide. He made an ancient outdate GC disc backup loader that has been incorporated into and expanded upon by WiiPower's NeoGamma. If you want to make a specific GC HDD you can use Swiss but you will need an IDE drive, a power supply for it, and either this adapter or your own homemade equivalent. Your only option for GC games from an external USB HDD is buying a WODE.

my wii is NTSC-U (although i'm in a PAL country), i'm using a NTSC gamecube original disc (resident evil zero disc 1) to boot, and i'm also using NTSC gamecube isos. Nevertheless using a PAL game to load seems to make no difference (same result).
I also have Priloader installed, but the region free options are all disabled (again, enabling them seems to make no difference)
i have the recommended MIOs version, and latest version of swissbooter (0.3?)
and now i'm getting an error message
something like that: there's a disk error, please consult you gamecube manual"
which version were you using? PAL or NTSC-U?

What is the max size SD card I can use? Will Anyone tried 16 & 32 GB SDHC with Gecko? Darkcide666 is using a 4gb but I don't know about the others - some sites quote only 2GB
Some SDHC cards are capable with Swiss. Anything 4GB and above is SDHC. So, up till 32GB is good once the SD Card itself doesn't have issues. I've used an 8GB SD Card with my USB Gecko, it works but it lags (because of the read speed of the SD Card, you need a /fast/ SD Card).

i'd say if there is a minimum read speed is quite low (about 2 MB/s or so)
Do I need to convert GCM files back to the original full size image? If so how do I do that? I tried GCM fixer and that didn't work at all. Thanks
i always use gcm scrubbed/shrunken games
as for all the games i've tested none needed to be an untouched or full size iso to work properly (either they work or don't)
but if you really want to "restore" the isos try this app. i've never tested it myself but apparently works
fstfix.exe 1.5f download on FileTrip.net - FileTrip
