I knew exactly what you are talking about. A cheap knock off USB Gecko and for the third time it is not supported...YOU CAN NOT USE A USB HDD! Give me a few minutes and I'll post what you need to use a IDE drive.
Edit: Here you go. Don't forget you will need a IDE HDD and some way to power it.
super mario sunshine(pal) works:D
1: Do i need 2 Memory cards? A= Normal memory card(for saving games data) B= SD gecko
2:Is there away of booting a game without a retail disc?
And nice tutorial! (it was the only one i found)
1) Only if you want to save. If you just just want to play then no you only need a Gecko.
2)If you could boot it without a retail disc don't you think I would have mentioned it? I have made it abundantly clear you need to own and use a retail disc for a reason and that reason wasn't to lie or screw with people. Besides...You shouldn't own any GC ISOs or GMCs if you don't own any retail discs.
Update pre-patcher version
Fix bugs in patch code
Added fast scrolling via analog stick in file selection
Bring up the info screen when booting a game
I have a problem: when i try to open a game from sd the progran sais "Error: Lid Open". What can I do?
Insert a retail GC disc in your drive like my instructions tell you to do.

And sry again but whats a IDE HDD?
No. Nothing will allow you to do that unless you buy a WODE. This guide will allow you to use an IDE HDD with a special adapter to play your GC backups from a HDD or a SD Gecko to play them like the title and guide explains. It plays them through one of you GC memory ports not your USB ports.
