Has anyone else noticed the high number of corrupt IOS cases lately?
It really seems like it is become a frequent issue, at least when compared to the past. I have seen at least 5 this month (two which were through PM's). I don't know if it's just a lot of people downloading corrupt IOS packs, or if there is some other issue. I can't really find a common factor, other than people saying "it just happened", which really isn't helpful. They aren't able to play games, run channels, full syschecks, or (sometimes) use Priiloader.
I'm not sure if it has actually becoming a frequent issue, or if I am only just now starting to notice. As many of you know, I wrote a tiny little guide on updating IOS's, and have been bragging about it as if it was worthy of the Recommended FAQ's section or as beautiful as Mountain Dew (which is impossible). The easiest solution I have been able to think of is just having them reinstall all IOS's, but it's not perfect. I have been trying to add launching cboot2 via bannerbomb to it without having to rewrite the entire guide. Until I figure that out I have had to write custom instructions for each person, which is rather time consuming. I love helping people, but I wish I could help them with less effort.
Normally I'd be happy to blame emuhack (or any other staff member who's job I'm after) for this and problems in general, but this time I want to find the real cause instead of making ridiculous accusations with absolutely no proof or logic to back them up (perhaps I'm going soft).
Edit: I forgot to mention that some of the people used guides outside this site to softmod.
