CFG can be configured perform just like wiiflow. DO you have hermes 222/223 installed? Fat32 loading only works with 222/223 or rev19+. If a game is giving you problems then try a different cIOS. Personally I have not had a problem with FAT32 and CFG Loader.
ok... so I am gonna install that Hermes thingy... :-) and then reformat the drive for fat32. to see if that helps. Is there any reason I should install hermes over the rev19? advantages? etc.
install Hermes 222, 223, 224.
249 should stay at 17 for compatibility with some apps.
250 can be what you want like rev20.
ok... got the drive formatted with Fat32 using seagates diskwizard.. Can I just make a directory call Wii Games on it and dump my isos in there?
I downloaded Hermes from here
Then I went here
and downloaded WiiFlow Forwarder Black Edition-DFWF... this wad goes in the sd:apps folder and I install using wad manager
Below that section it says
* cIOS222/223 Users -- Download THIS -- Extract the RAR File directly to USB:/
* cIOSx 249 Rev19/20 Users -- Download THIS -- Extract the RAR File directly to USB:/
Try Both USB loaders
Hermes cIOS222/223 Users - Download 222 Pack and Extract Directly to USB:/
Waninkoko cIOSx Rev 19/20 Users - Download 249 Pack and Extract Directly to USB:/
Try out all the loaders. Delete the ones you don't want. Install a Forwarder if you want to load from the Wii Menu.
I did all the Hermes related material and extracted to the Root of my HDD.
IS this all I need to do?
And also... My buddy that did the mod said I can not update it, but can I turn on my wifi so I can do the install? Thanx in advance...
Use "wii game manager" to remove useless data from ISO's and convert them to wbfs, you'll save space and there is no difference between them. Create a folder called wbfs and place this folder in the root of your hard drive, this is where you place your games. USB:/wbfs/ . Now that your hard drive is FAT32, you can place all your apps at usb:/apps/ and they will load from the hard drive instead of the sd card. Yu don't have to do this its optional.
You can do an offline install for hermes, directions on the guide you linked.
He is right saying you NEVER UPDATE FROM NINTENDO but priiloader should be installed to block disc/online updates. Wifi can stay on all the time if priiloader is installed. TO check if priiloader is installed, power off the wii. Red light should be on. Hold reset and press power. If installed, a "menu" will come up. Go to system menu hacks and check if block disc/online updates are enabled.
yup... got it.... i thought i read that wbfs was usless now, but i guess that meant i dont have to use the wbfs manager 3.0 anymore... so I can convert all my iso files to wbfs and then delete the iso file. keep one on the hdd and another on my computer if I WANT.
and I can do the hermes install, wads, and etc from the hdd now? asweome... thanx...
Formatting your entire drive to WBFS is useless because the hard drive would only be able to store games. Formatting to FAT32 is preferred because you can store anything. Yeah, convert the iso to wbfs. The wbfs file can be converted back to iso if you wanted. You can install wad's using your hard drive, I don't know about installers... never tried it.
Well... Got home and installed the hermes thing, wiiflow and BAM.... covers... games... i got it all... . THANX...
Questions... most likely for wiiflow...
I want a wiiflow channell on the wii desktop
EDIT... I know I can get the forwarder, but I thought there was something about the NAND thing getting used and it was NOT recommended. I guess I can use priiloader to BOOT to the Wii. IS that a problem?
the other thing is when i start a game in wiiflow and I am playing it, is there a way to just go back to wiiflow?
when i go to channels, SD Card, it still freezes... thanx for any MORE help you can offer. :-)
