Endless Ocean 2 problem
Ok I get the black screen upon loading. Using Wad Manager 1.6 I installed the recommended wad '56-64-v5405' as 249 without any luck. Using Config Usb to load and I also have selected Block reload. Cant seem to place what Im doing wrong, and I have searched the forums numerous times without any luck so forgive me if my problem has been answered elsewhere. This is the only game I seem to be having problems with.Any help?
why/what/where/w00t... you saw recommended base is 56 for cIOS 249?
which revision is it?
How did you softmod your wii, where is your syscheck along with your question?
give some more info if you want help.
maybe read the FAQ in the softmod basics linked below.
new cIOS you can get in the cIOS as wads thread. there is a FAQ as well.
To softmod I followed the softmod any wii guide for the mod. I did manage to state that I'm booting with Config Usb. I searched endless ocean 2 on the forum and came across a page that lists every game and which ios it boots with and it said endless ocean 2 loads with IOS56-64-5405.wad so I installed it. I also changed between the diff IOS in Config USB and disabled the Reload.

ok nice. so you have already a good setup from the softmod guide. you only need to make sure that your drive is properly prepared, the game backup is not corrupted, you have a working usbloader, try cfg or wiiflow. use 250 to load your games, it should be the default value in the settings anyways. disable that blocking again (block IOS reload =off/disabled).
the IOS below 200 are only needed/used if you run your game from the discchannel.
in the usbloader you use your cIOS in the slots above 200.
i go for out of region game, wrong videomode setting.
corrupt file, re-rip from your original to your hdd.
see the FAQ in the softmod basics -> my game does not load, for some more hints
- Wrong settings in the loader -> look at: videomode (set/force it to your Wii's region signal: PAL/NTSC, wrong setting can cause a green screen, a black screen or the game loads but plays in black and white, that occurs when running out of region games, can be solved by the proper settings); IOS to load (most games run on 250 or 249 (if set up correctly, could be cIOS250rev20(base57) and cIOS249rev17(base38); Music Games, Moster Hunter Tri, Metroid other M run by changing the setting to 223 (which should be cIOS223rev4(base37+38)), play around with the settings, no, you won't brick your wii.
- Try altering the game language to english
as mentioned you do not need to install any cIOS or IOS on your wii right now.
yeah im giving up on this one. so it was a bad idea to install the .wad as 249 then?? if so how do i reverse this.
