If one of the games your trying to play is Metroid Other M, the wiikey fusion will play at 3x disc speed or roughly 3 MB/s which is too slow for the game to run and blacks out after the standard nintendo controller messages and warnings. Some games that have lots of pre-loading and 3x doesn't cut it. Until the wiikey fixes it to run at 6 MB/s or 6x, some games will just crap out.
We will probably need to compile a list of games that crap out, aka black screen and/or controller shuts off.
List it like this so it is easily identifible:
Example would look like this:
Wii FW and region:
wiikey FW #:
Game: Metroid Other M
Wii FW and region: 4.2U
wiikey FW #: 1.4
Description: Blacks out after the first standard wii controller screen. Controller still is active but nothing seems to be happening even after waiting for 10 minutes.
I will make a new post to just list clean games that black out. Hopefully someone at wiikey.cn is reading it and effectively bring about a fix.
I would really like to get the MP3 to work. I guess that trikon000 have run the NTSC version but I would like to know if there is anyone that have been able to play the PAL version on a 4.3E with FW 1.4? If so, which release?

Sorry if I can't tell you if the MP3 pal version works or not, I got 2 wiis and they have 4.2U or 4.3U installed.
Have you tried putting the game alone on the SD card?
I also found out that when I put too many games on my SD card, it won't work, even though there is enough space. Maybe it needs space to "breathe", or something...
And another thing: It would be a good idea for the people of wiikey fusion to make up a list of the brands of SD cards that work with the wiikey fusion. I mean if I had known that not all brands work, I would have saved a lot of time trying to solve my problem.
By the way the support at their site SUCKS BIG TIME!
I send them an e-mail asking for help two weeks ago and they haven't bothered answering yet.
Of course I solved my problem coming to you guys, but they don't know that. It's THEIR responsibility.
Their product turned out to be great but their support is a mess.
I don't know if there is an ongoing thread here about brands and specifications of SD cards, but it would be a good idea to start one.
For example the following worked for me: Wiikey Fusion 1.4 - Wii 4.3E - Transcend 8 GB Class 10.
I just did this with the "MP3 Corruption" and you know what... IT WORKED! Thank you so much for the info! Though I must say it is very strange behavior. This also means that it is just a waste of space using 16GB cards with the Fusion, buying a few 8GB or even 4GB cards is a much better option. Again thank you!

I'll probably have to go back and see if some of the games I got that don't work properly will work on a 8GB by itself.
I also added a second game (which made me just exceed the 8GB limit) to the card and both games work. It would be interesting to know exactly where the limit is. Is it limited by the number of games on the card or the total size of the games? That would also be interesting to find out.

I absolutely agree with the above. Those are extremely useful information and they would save everybody a lot of time. Such information should normally be given by the Wiikey officials, after performing a few tests, but since they don't bother, it's up to the users to gather this information. I would be happy to help in such an effort.
Added two more games to the 16 GB card which makes a total of four. Game sizes are:
Total: 11.23 GB
Free on card: 3.78 GB
All games play fine! It seems the 16 GB is not that useless after all...
