Questions regarding using a european black Wii in the Americas
I have already read a lot of information, however, most of what one can read requires a little "hands-on" with the console, and plenty of terminology I am trying to get used to.
I'm currently assigned to work in Europe, and have my wife with me, so she asked me to buy her a Wii to have something else to spend some time. In the near future we may be going back home to Latin America, so the console is likely to come with us.
Console is 4.3e.
My concerns in regards to video output are somehow cleared, since I see european models can be configured to output 480i or 576i, so al I need is to buy a new AC/DC adapter to handle 110-120V @60Hz we have at my home country.
Now, my real concerns. I have friends and relatives with games I can borrow, but of course they are NTSC based.
Am I stucked to get european releases or can I get american games as well?
Are there any issues in video output if one is able to play a NTSC game in a PAL console connected to a NTSC display?
If I can overcome all these issues, what are the basic guidelines I need to follow?
Is it enough following mauifrog's 4.3 softmodding tutorial?
Thanks in advance, I know I will need further help in the future.
