Wii DVD drive repair, will not accept discs.
Before anyone asks, I've googled for the last couple days, and searched a few different forums (including this one). So far, I haven't come up with anything that helps in my situation.
I'm trying to repair a friend's Wii. His kid jammed the dvd slot with coins, which I've removed, but the drive doesn't quite load the disc in. It gets almost all the way down, then jams and eventually ejects. It'll load the disc if I push ever so slightly on the white plastic rail on the right, and I can play games on it for ages and eject discs with no problem; I just need the lid off to insert any disc.
Thing is, when I opened the Wii, I noticed 2 white plastic pieces floating around, and I can't help thinking that they're integral in the disc loading function. Picture attached.
Any ideas or clues where these two pieces came from?
*edit* The drive is a D2E, if that helps.
