I'm currently on Priiloader .6 with a hash_hacks.ini
EDIT: Solved the issue. It looks like I forgot to reinstall bootmii on Boot2. Once I reinstalled that using mauifrog's guide everything worked fine. I'm currently doing a system update and going on from there.
EDIT2: I can confirm that updating the system does fix the black screen issue that appears when you try to play new games such as Donkey Kong Country Returns. When I tried to play the game before I did the system update the game didn't load no matter what I tried. But after the update the game works perfectly.
Hi, i have a few questions, if u kind to answer i'll apreciate :) I've wii, with bootmii installed as an IOS since mu console it's a new one and i can't install it as boot2, i'm thinking on trying this system menu mod but, if something goes wrong (always hope not, but we can never know), is there anything i can do to recovery? direct flash access, modchip or something?
As i can read with this SM we can update wii from nintendo update, but is this helpfull? like if we need some update to run a new game, by doing this update the system will remain 4.1 with the same mods and the IOS's needed to play that new game will be updated?
Sorry if i miss some info and i'm asking something already said before.
Your questions suggest you're a newbie at softmodding. If you follow this guide, this would install Priiloader which would actually BLOCK disc and online updates. Your other questions are answered in the guide/thread, which points to the fact you've not actually bothered to read it:
If you bricked while following this guide your only option for repair would be this
Yes, with system menu x you would be able to install new IOS from disc or internet update without updating your system menu or loosing your softmods. As Nightstah said, this is really not a tutorial for beginners.Quote:
What i didn't understand or get the idea, the nintendo update updates some IOS's but can't update SM and other IOS's or simply can't update anything on NADN?
