Well that's just weird. For now just enjoy your game. Tell me if it happens again, as well as what game it happens on.

Currently Part 1 and Part 3 of this guide only has steps for Windows, which is fine for most users, but I would like to make this guide universal. DarkCide has graciously offered to write formatting instructions for Linux users when he gets time, but I still need a few things. I don't have a Mac anymore (it kept getting scorch marks when I placed Bibles near it ;)), and I haven't used Linux very much. These are the what I still need:
There is also something I am looking for advice on. Do you think I should include steps for Priiloader installation in this guide? It is one of the requirements for this guide, but a lot of people who have softmodded Wii's don't have it installed. This isn't a guide for Priiloader, so it's not like this is the appropriate place to add it, but I keep having to tell people that they need to run Softmod ANY Wii for instructions on installing it. While that is a great guide, it is long for people who only need Priiloader.
- Instructions for FAT16/FAT32 formatting on Mac's.
- An alternative to md5summer.exe for Mac users.
- An alternative to md5summer.exe for Linux users.
I would link to WiiJohn's guide, but it is only for 4.1-4.2 and it uses Priiloader v0.5, which full-bricks Wii's that don't have valid internet settings (plus I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me, since he deletes my posts any time I try to talk to him). Priiloader v0.6 has bugs and there isn't a guide for it yet, so I don't want to use that either.
If I have somehow overlooked a guide for Priiloader v0.4, please post a link here or PM me.
Is there info somewhere on why I would want to update all these IOS? I mean - will what I have (see spoiler below) work fine? Or does something need updates in particular?

All of your IOS's are out of date, and you are also missing IOS57 and IOS58. I suggest you install either the Update All IOS.zip or Update All Game IOS.zip pack. If you use Update All IOS.zip, everything will be covered.

With your current version of IOS56, you cannot play "M:OM" from the disc channel.
Unless Nintendo decides to change things, it is safe to say that most IOS's will probably never need to be updated again. Usually when they add new IOS's, new games and channels will use those instead of older ones. I don't think that IOS9 has ever needed to be updated, since it was only used by System Menu 1.0 and some of the first games for the Wii.
Thanks Joostinonline - if I do everything from usb loaders or homebrew, do I still actually have a need to update these?
No. These are only for loading channels and games from the Disc Channel.

I'm still hoping for advice from staff members and other guide writers on these issues.
Cile lives for nuts and bolts stuff, he's likely "your guy" for this but is away on vacation right now.
Hmmm, any women I could talk to about this?
