Cloning disk with WBFS Manager and formatting issues
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere on the forum. (I did numerous searches here and on Google, but couldn't find a specific answer to my problem).
I'm very confused by the whole formatting issue for starters especially when it comes to disc cloning with WBFS.
First off, I have successfully got disk 1 set up properly by formatting the drive to NTSC and making the disc primary partition and active. (I'm on Windows 7 and it is a 250 GB Maxtor SATA HD). I then formatted the whole drive (within WBFS manager) to WBFS format. I added all the iso game files to the drive and it runs flawlessly with all the USB loaders when I plug it into the Wii.
My problem began when trying to prepare another disk and cloning to a new drive.
This is a Western Digital 250 GB Sata drive.
I formatted the whole disk as NTFC, primary and Active. I then used Disk manager to shrink the volume by half. The other half I formatted again and made it Primary and Active (both still NTFC as Windows 7 doesn't give me any other options).
N.B. I thought it would be a good idea to have half the disk NTSC to save all my iso files and the other half WBFS for the Wii.
I then opened up WBFS and formatted one of the partitions and then plugged in the other drive that has my original games and working perfectly into the drive, loaded it up and then cloned the entire working disk to the other.
It took about 2 hours to complete.
I then put the cloned drive into the Wii and that's where I hit problems.
None of the USB loaders see it at all.
What have I done wrong?
