Gamecube Backups - Mini-CDRs/CDRs/CDRWs?
I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to burning backups to disc, so I am asking a question before I potentially waste a few discs.
Do I have to use mini-CDRs when playing Gamecube backups, or can I use noraml CDRs?
Will CDRWs work aswell? I'd much rather use a RW because I use fewer discs :3
Thanks in advance!
use TDK or similar branded mini DVR discs
Arghhh shiver me timbers hearties......I have been backing up my GameCube game discs and burning them onto mini DVR TDK discs which can be found on Amazon UK site and german site....all very reasonably priced.....
I have not used my white Wii to dump/rip the files but instead have used a PC and a special kind of lg DVD-ROM reader that I found on Amazon america.
However if you look around the wiihacks forum there should be a link on using your own Wii and dumping/ripping to large SD card. On the Wii side of discs I just use the Wii for dumping via USBloader to Harddrive and bang dont have to bother about loading a Wii disc wohooo. That was back in April 2010.
Its worth protecting your gamecube discs and make sure you burn your final ripped files in case the burned discs become unreadable in long time cause you dont want to spend those hours dumping/ripping and cleaning the finished file. Good luck arghh.......
