iPhone 4 sold out in China in four days
When Apple launched the iPhone 4, lots of people had difficulty in actually procuring one due to the smartphone being quickly sold out. The same story goes for China, where the latest iPhone was sold out in just four days after launch.
200,000 pre-orders were made throughout the country, but Apple only shipped half that amount to provider China Unicom. Needless to say, the supply was immediately bought out dry, forcing the company to get more stock to fill in the remaining pre-orders, and possibly get some more for the rest who didn't pre-order.
With a population of 1.4 billion, a hundred thousand iPhone 4s doesn't sound like much for China. But by comparison, it took China Unicom a whole month to sell 100,000 units of the iPhone 3GS.
What does that say about the iPhone 4?
