Post a syscheck using the guide here.
There are a number of reasons why this could happen. Did you follow all the instructions in the first post? Do you have darkcorp installed?
Sorry Guys... this is the first time i have had to ask for help after getting through all the tutes so far trouble free and its depressed me!
I have to use the ios58 installer for wiimc channel but i cant get it to install... So far i have HB 1.0.8, the ios58 installer placed in the apps folder ready to go and i cant get it to run... i have tried 2 ways to install it.
1st. Method loading it straight from the HB menu window that comes up but it just keeps hovering with "initializing network" 2nd. The other is with bootmii app manager but it wont do it for me that way either, same hover... i know i may have to reinstall the HB channel after etc etc but what am i not picking up on here?
trying to run the channel installer without this ios58 fix just freezes the wii...

HBC Version: 8, IOS: 58 [/spoiler]
You have ios58 installed already!
Your problem is probably hbc isn't running on ios58. Go into hbc and see what version it is running on. If it is not on ios58 than just reinstall hbc using the hackmii installer.
Thanks MarkieH... it would appear that it installed the IOS58 on maybe the first try and froze up... i reinstalled HBC with hackmii and then retried only to get a stack dump when trying to run the channel installer again... after a bit of swearing and a tantrum i decided to run the channel installer one more time and YatZy!!! it did it... now running Wiimc 1.2.0 with 1.9 channel watching TRON.avi through USB... Not entirley sure why i initialy got the freezing and stack dump but i will take it! :D
I have a problem
actually not exactly a problem but need a help
I downloaded wiimc to have it working through my hbc but after inserting the SD card and pressing load button I had an error message that says :
the current ios is not supported and functionality or stability might be adversely affected !
ok , now after checking things I knew that my hbc is 1.0.6 that runs ios61
The question is after seeing that error message , nothing went wrong and my videos and pictures just work fine
so If i stayed this way with unsupported ios would it really adversely affect my console and I must install ios58 ? or no harm in staying this way? I'm a bit afraid of installing things and then reinstalling them :dft006:
Do I have to install ios58 and reinstall my hbc so then wiicm will work fine?
if so , how can i install ios58? then how to reinstall hbc? my wii system menu is 4.2u that's why I don't want to use the update to 4.3 system method .
and one last question : isn't there any harm by what i'm doing on other channels like newgamma that almost is the only one i depend on to run my games?
thanks to you in advance
It isn't going to cause any harm, but it wouldn't hurt you to get IOS58 and update your HBC. I wrote a guide on updating usbloader gx, in which is a section on how to do this. Link is in my sig if you would like to take a look.
Ok , I will be using your guide on how to install ios58 (part one of your thread ) but what's the difference between the offline and online installation?
can you explain this
- Download IOS58-64-6176.wad from HERE and save it directly to the SD:/wad folder
- Install IOS58 using MMM or Wad Manager v1.7
how can I do step 2?
forgive a noobie
but am I not supposed to first install ios58 then install the new hbc since mine is 1.0.6 or skip the update and only reinstall the current one ?
