Hi. when using Wii Backup Fusion on Mac, after I click 'load' I can't choose my .iso files. can the program convert .iso to .wbfs? what should I do? thanks.
You dont choose the exact iso. You load the folder that the iso is in.... Then any iso that is in the folder will be loaded...
When "installing" games to the USB HD using CFG USB Loader, it says to insert the "original" disk... What if all you have left is the "Backup" DVD-R copy, is it still possible, will it work the same as the original disk? I haven't tried it yet cause I still have to get me an external HD (just updated the Sofmod using mauifrog's guide) but I thought I'd ask in the mean time to avoid any problems later...
Where is the original? As long as your drive can read backups and hasn't got the newer chipset then yes you can.
I lend all my originals to my nephew once I backed them up... Worse case I could've got them from him except he lives a bit far from us so I'm glad to ear that the copies will do.
Thanks for the quick reply!
I just followed this guide on an 8Gb memory stick I had to give it a try and it works great! I'm new to CFG USB loader and this is just awesome! Can't wait to get a 1/2 descent size HD and re-organise all my games.
This is probably not the place to ask but I was wondering before I purchase an external drive if it's better to get one that is usb powered or one that plugs into a wall outlet. (that is included in the Wiihack list of course) The self powered ones would work better since the PC ain't close enough to the Wii to just swap the wires but if the other ones are better then I would go for that (with electrical cord)
I've had trouble getting some decent HDD partition/format software as the one listed (epm) wouldnt run on win7, however for all you guys out there trying to find a good FREE piece of kit...... look no further than.....Free Partition Magic alternative. Free Partition Manager Software for Windows 7/VISTA/XP/2000 and Windows Server 2003/2008/2000.
theres a Home version 7 Full package which works a treat and is very easy to use as I have today purchased and made 3 partitions on my Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk USB2 Ext HDD.
Hope this Helps!!
This guide could use instructions on how to format drives using GNU/Linux. I can write the instructions if you're interested.
