Hey Elalan...Soldering your Wiikey won't make a difference. If it works with backups and originals than it is doing what it is suppose to do. If you are trying to get movies (DVD) to work you need to install Homebrew software and that has nothing to do with your Wiikey chip. I still accept donations :).....
My wiikey 2 with wiiclip came today and i was getting this whole solid red light business, then i realised if i took the power cable out of the back, then refitted my wiikey, i got the red-blue-red-blue when i turned on my wii, but the bugger wont accept ANY disks
Ive looked a the pins on the clip and they all seems to be straight, so im pretty stumpted for solutions
any help would be greatly appreciated
Clip is bad, solder it in and you'll be fine.
i contacted the seller and he told me to cut the clip, severing the tracks D, E, F and G, and everything works fine, the chip wasn't prepared for D2B
I have the same problems with Wiiclip and Wiikey2 with the red led light! The wiikey2 has serial number with a yellow sticker. As far as I can see from the above posts, the problem is about the connections between them but they seem to be perfect. The connections are A, B, C, G.
