Full Brick (4.1E) - Recover Using DriveKey Wii Modchip + Boot CD or Game /w Firmware?
I originally softmodded my Wii to play an import of NHL2k10. After getting a PS3 and NHL10 I have no need for NHL2k10.
In an attempt to un-softmod my Wii, I had a brain explosion and bricked my Wii. Essentially I used Wad Manager 1.4 to uninstall the Wads that it listed, NeoGamma, IOS36 and IOS60. Once I exited wad manager, each time I exited home brew, it would just reload. After resetting the Wii, black screen/no video signal.
No Preloader or NAND backup.
I tried SaveMiiFrii (GC controller in port 4, pressing up+down+left+right) with no affect, I read that it relies on the system menu being in tact.
I've read that I can create a bootable disc of wad manager. If I installed DriveKey Wii (or similar), would I be able to boot a wad manager cd and re install the wad's I removed?
Insert a game disc with a later fireware verison and perform a system update?
Would these methods unbrick? or should I just fork out the cash and get a new wii?
