Hi thanks for this. I am on 3.2U with a WIIKEY 1 and I am about to try your recommendation. Sorry for the noob question but can you please explain how to apply patches to IOS 36? I want to make sure I completely understand the process before I attempt this. Thanks in advance.
DOP-Mii will ask you to apply each individual patch as you install, confirm with A, decline with B. That application is solid for asking you to confirm everything you want to do before applying anything.
hello, sorry for the dumb question here..I was out of town on business the last few days and my daughter got SMG2 and when she inserted disc she ran the update. Now USB loader GX craps out and says exception DSI occurred..
Am i screwed and have to remod everything..
I can't play smg2. I have a wii with a 4.2 system menu and neogamma r9 beta 13. I get a screen with "exception (dsi) occurred" right after I start neogamma from the wii menu. What should I try? Do I need another loader? If so which one should I try? Thanks for any help.
I've got a 4.1e system menu,
And i use USB loader gx to load the games.
The new super mario bros works fine,
But when i try to load Super mario galaxy 2, it gives me a green screen.
I've tried to force pal, but i is not working.
Do i have to install , IOS IOS61-64-v5405 ?
I think the IOS your trying to think of is IOS56, not IOS61. I can play the game with out IOS56 or IOS61 installed. IOS61 is a System Menu IOS required by SM 4.1, Green screen is out of region problem.
Thanks for you answer. I did made alot ro reading at first before asking if a new chip is in production, or if an update is in progress to get the 4.2u Firmware region free again. I already knew that if I update my Wii to 4.2U, that my super mario galaxy 2 should work because of IOS056-64-v5405. I can tell you that I really like your solution. It's great! Many thanks!
But what would stop BigN of checking in their next official update if we have 4.1U with IOS 056-64-v5405 installed, since this IOS is supposed to come with the 4.2u update? If I was BigN, I would make sure to include this check in my next update to brick some more softmodded Wii's!
So if I want to truly "keep my Wii clean", I cannot update my Wii yet because I dont want to loose region free. That until a chip update or a new chip that would bring back region free on 4.2u firmware Wii's.
But like you said, the ball is in my camp! :) Either I wait for to see if there is a developpement for new chip update or for a new chip, or I shall I start softmodding right now! :)
Softmod.... you know you want to.... all the cool kids are doing it....
