i have been unable to get into any apps thru HBC. if i click wad manager it lets me in then my controllers loses function and subsequently get stuck there (tried with 1.4-1.5 and 1.7). i as of today downloaded and tried to install cios38 rev17 from this post Really only cus i wanted to try 1.4 again on a clean sd card. either way had same no luck. So basicly in addition to getting stuck thru hbc, wondering if and how i can reinstall hbc and not have to go thru full mod again. thanx for any input
i should tell you i can continue and use gx loader / usb w fat32 ex hdd with no problems. but even if i go thru hbc thru gx still get same probs. i obviously was able to use wad manager with no probs before, actually for over a year and cant specifically nail down what i did or didnt do when this prob started.im 99% sure it was when i was trying to do shop channel update. but thought i undid whatever it was i did do...(ok lol tunque twister) running 4.2u
Ok, so I'm not what someone would call a gamer. I recently purchased a Wii and just learning as I go. I have HBC, but I'm a little confused on what to now. I downloaded one game. Can I save that game to the Wii without using my SD card? And what exactly is an emulator? Does it include games?
also, I'm super nervous when playing with my wii. I have read so much on it getting bricked. I'm scared I will mess it up. I read the "things to do to brick you wii". Am I in the safe now?
is it a homebrew game?
yes i downloaded it from homebrew
An emulator allows you to do as it's name implies. Emulate another game system on your Wii. None of them include ROMs because that would be illegal. WiiTuka allows you to download games for it because they are public domain. You can also choose to install a demo pack for BlueMSX Wii when you install it. Homebrew games go in your apps folder and do not get installed on your Wii...Unless you make a channel for it that is.
I was looking through the design a homebrew channel comp thread and love the winners design, I went ahead and downloaded it, it downloaded fine, the trouble is I can't get the background to change, on the wiibrew site is just says copy the ziped file into your apps folder which I have done but still no joy, do I need to make a file and call it something in particular? I've tried various things and searched google for help but to no evail.........spotted this thread and thought this is the ideal place for some advice. Any help as always is much appreciated.
