but you should be able to set the path in wiiflow...i noticed you said .wbfs files..mine are all .iso...did you have rename your extensions ?....i have put my hdd into another pc actually on the SATA connection, pc picks up both the fat32 and the wbfs partition (pc sees that as raw and wants to format it) but still wbfs not seeing it and complaining that it is either in use or not formatted to wbfs...this really isnt making any sense...there MUST be a way to get the games off it
Just a though, anyone had any experience with installing wbfs manager on the wii itself and if so would that let me dump the games off of it
.wbfs is the format wbfs manager converts your .iso to on the wbfs drive, or do you use another backup manager? .wbfs takes all the "padding data" off the .iso and just keeps the game date, for example a NSMB .iso is 4.7Gb or in .wbfs its 0.35Gb.
you do know that you can dump games directly from the wii to your hdd? if your wii can see the drive and games just burn your .iso's to disk and load to the hdd via your usb loader
i would just be a bit concerned that this situation has arisen, if it were me i'd be looking at weighing up formatting the drive, how many games would you lose? is it worth trying to look for an answer that may only end up being "start over again and format"?
i think your main problem is that the .wbfs partition has become corrupted in some way and is no longer readable by anything other than the wii, if you can manage your games via the wii then thats ok, but i suspect you need to use a manager which in that case from the steps you have tried i reckon you're screwed, if you cant read the drive what really can you do?
try dumping games from uloader see how you go
I would lose 80 games :022: .... i dont relish the task of having to download them again, what i want to do is exactly what you said...dump them by using the wii, the wii can see them and can play them so they are there and usable...i have looked at my current installed loaders, wiiflow, neogamma R8, and usb loader GX and neither of them offer the facility to dump anywhere or to burn to disc...i dont really even fancy the job of burning 80 games to disc..im kinda hoping i could burn them as images...if wiiflow can work with FAT32 i am not going to use wbfs again, mind you, if i had not of had a mad rage with my NAS server i wouldnt have lost them off there...this just rubs salt in the wounds
