I have made a wad file from the WiiMC Channel Installer 1.7, just in case the installer is not working for anybody. This comes in handy if your Wii does not have HBC 1.0.7 or newer installed or your HBC is not using IOS58. You will need IOS58 v6176 and any version of HBC installed for it to work correctly. If you updated your WiiMC to 1.1.2 then your channel also needs to be updated to 1.7, I suggest using the Channel Installer first, if that fails then try this wad.
I tested this on my Wii and it works, as all way, have some sort of brick recovery installed to your Wii, Priiloader if not BootMii/Boot2.

Dear Stomp and others ..please help me out.
I installed v1.1.1 last week. Yesterday I downloaded v1.1.2 and deleted the older version in my apps folder and copied the newer version on my SD card. Then I downloaded ios 58 and installed it , reinstalled homebrew and then updated the wiimc. Now I see the wiimc channel on my homescreen, but when wiimc loads up, whether I click on SD card or USB drives..it gives me the black screen with codes on it. What wrong did I do? Do deleting all wiimc folders from my apps and copy pasting all the folders once again help me please?
You might still have some left over config files from the old rev.... you can delete all the wiimc folders on the SD and start fresh... i had to do this once...

Thanks Emu hack..I deleted both the WIIMC folders on my SD card. Then I went to wii settings and deleted the wiimc channel. Then I copied wiimc 1.1.2 new install and channel folders and loaded them again. Again whether i click SD card or USB, I get the black screen with codes. Since I had installed 1.1.1 last week...Do you think some of those files got saved somewhere on the SD card or the WII which doesnt get deleted when i delete the two folders pls?
i dont think they got put somewhere else... See if you can get on youtube with wiimc... or when you load it... click the logo in the top right corner and see what ver it says it is and IOS its using... when you loaded IOS58 what rev did you use and your HBC make sure its running off 58...
before i installed 58, when i loaded the wii channel..it said i was running v61 and needed 58. After I installed 58, the channel loaded..so I am guessing this proves my HBC is running 58. I just checked..version is 1.0.8 IOS 58 v24.31
k... try to install an old version of wiimc and you will be prompted to update with-in wiimc and take that update and see if that helps....
Ok..I deleted 1.1.2, copied 1.1.1 and loaded it..it prompted me to update..I did that ..it downloaded the file and installed it...it still doesnt recognize my hard drive..but i can play music photos from SD card and online radio...wondering how everyone else is getting it right except me
ok so you have all working exept your hdd... what format is it and do you have partitions....
