imgburn with its standard settings should work fine at 8x and beyond.
you are using verbs, which produce the best results, (cept for lightscribes, them buggers cause problems from time to time - personal experience.)
burn some images that are from the reg of your wii. try them.
there is a chance that yur pc dvd burner isnt so clever. you have a spare one knocking about that you can try?
the discs that you have got working. try them, play them for a few mins, take disc out, power off power on, try game again...does it still work? repeat said step a few times.
you have a problem but you dont know what it is, so you need to fault find, when something works, repeat what you did. if it works all the time, this eliminates the factors.
you've got discs that work, do they work all the time? that eliminates faulty drive in your wii. if you have multiple discs that work all the time, that eliminates dodgy chip.
this leaves you with media and pc issues.
you've just bought verbs, they the shit man! these are the best discs. so now you've eliminated your media issue.
all thats left is your pc and imgburn.
imgburn can be left with default settings and should work fine.
that leaves yur pc. or more likely the burner in your pc.
i've got 3 diffrent burners in my pc, two internal and one external, all diffrent brands and all work fine. perhaps your problem is with yur burner??
sorry for waffling. bit drunk, if I was sober, maybe i could have made my reply more concise....

LMAO.......yeah I drink too but only when I'm hanging out with my homies.....work...... eh eh that's a no no ;)
I would pick up a Pioneer burner - what specific model LG do you have? I have found very few that work properly for the Wii. The problems you describe (only some games working, inconsistent results etc) usually occur due to a bad burner/media - I have many customers using Optiarc, Benq, Samsung etc and having the same problems. Do you have a friend with a Pioneer or another burner to try and see if that fixes it? I doubt it is the mod if some games work consistently.
I set it back to Dao and still no go. I was able to get a different game to load up in the wii menu which is more than before.

Non-back ups always work. The back ups that do work seem to be consistent as well.
The guy that modded it said to bring it by and we'd try some other discs. I suppose that's a sure way to check to see what the problem is. At this point it just must be bad images or my burner.

I'm wondering if perhaps my wii just doesn't like games from PAL, patched to NTSC or not. Although I thought the d2pro9 was region free.
Thanks for all the help thus far!
ok....send it back by the guy let him correct his mistake in the mod itself

And probably some of your Isos not good too
Well, given all the signs. Could it be a bad install? It still plays some back ups. So I'm guessing no. I'm gonna give another iso a go right now.

PM me for it if you want.
Well I got mario galaxy to work using nero at 4x with the verbatim dvd-r (As I heard you should burn this game with nero). I'm wondering if it's just a regional issue.
