What is Up with Newbie Non-Starters for Thread Titles?
Checking the first six pages of threads in the Newbie Playpen (6 x 20 threads per page), I find the following: 13 out of 120 (that's a little over 10% peeps) have these lovely "titles" ---
"I need your help urgently, as i cant manage to name a thread properly!"
"Oh, the heartache!! Can someone help me title this thread correctly??"
"Some more hacking to go..."
"a "stupid" thread title :)"
"some help making a more descriptive thread title appreciated"
"newbie needs help and can't title this thread thanks"
"Can any one help this poor noob come up with a better thread title!!"
"Help I can't be descriptive in my thread title"
"help me please my thread title is horrible"
"So much fail in this thread title!!!!!!! I need help"
"newbie needs help making a thread title thanks"
"Watch out, there's a poorly titled thread about."
"what to do Im too lazy to think of a thread title"
^And the sad thing is most of these are from different users, not one trying to be "cute." I do believe this is an all-time high FAIL level of non-information. And users honestly expect help? If they get it, it's in spite of this silliness --- mostly because users want to help others (even those who can't help themselves). Maybe this is the mods being "humorous," I'd certainly prefer that to users who'd put such titles to these threads. This is really sad... shouldn't there be a requirement of some form of standards on thread titles? Is this mod playfulness, or really newbie-named threads? Please tell me the former, I beg you...
