Newbie, Very new to it all
Well fellas I'm new to it all so forgive if some questions sound stupid, anyway I just purchase my Wii and I modified it myself with D2Pro (V.D2e) Solderless Wiiclip chip. The Mod works great for the most part but I do have 1 particular problem with it.
When it comes to NTSC backups it Wii works great almost all the games seem to work fine but when it comes to PAL backups I keep getting request for system updates. Now from what I read on the internet I don't want to do that since I have a USA or NTSC drive. The system has been manually updated so it has the most recent update to the system. I tried using WiiUR (update removal) but that didn't work, all that did was make the disk unreadable or recognizable. I have to shut off and restart it after I'd installed that disk. So does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong or how to fix it to play PAL disc?
Something else I'm not familiar with is the Homebrew Channel I see it in a lot postings but I'm not sure what it does or what benefits I may gain by having it, if any that my chip doesn't do already? I see things like dead drives or bricks so it makes me a little nervous. So basically my question is what are the bare minimums I need for a fully operational Wii that will play both NTSC and PAL backup discs.
Thanks in advance for the Help!:)
